{"id":4472,"date":"2022-11-17T17:57:23","date_gmt":"2022-11-17T16:57:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thosecreamypeaches.com\/?p=4472"},"modified":"2022-11-17T17:57:25","modified_gmt":"2022-11-17T16:57:25","slug":"juicy-words-3-part","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thosecreamypeaches.com\/en\/2022\/11\/17\/socne-besede-3-del\/","title":{"rendered":"Juicy words (3rd part)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thosecreamypeaches.com\/en\/2022\/11\/03\/juicy-words-2-part\/\" target=\"_self\">ast time I talked about the Slovenian Dictionary of Sex<\/a>, I would very much like to see it coontinue, but today I'm off to explore new juicy words that can't be found in one place in Slovene but can appear here and there in some texts. Unfortunately, it is more difficult to see them in Slovenian dictionaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">I looked at English sources for the words and then looked for the equivalents in Slovene. The terms that came to me most easily were the ones below, the different types of sexuality springing up like mushrooms. Whereas a few years ago, we knew only <em>homosexuality<\/em>, <em>heterosexuality<\/em>, and <em>bisexuality<\/em>, today in the West, we can count many more:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>autosexuality<\/em>  (a new trend in sexuality, revived in the coronavirus pandemic; autosexuality is an attraction to oneself - that is, enjoying masturbation more than sex);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>demisexuality<\/em> (sexuality in which a person must feel an emotional attachment to be attracted to another person);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>pansexuality<\/em> (sexuality in which one person is attracted to others, regardless of gender; this form of sexuality was described also by Sigmund Freud);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>hyposexuality<\/em> (reduced sexuality, but not to be equated with asexuality, as it is a reduced sex drive as a result of external factors);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>greysexuality<\/em> (a shade of asexual orientation; persons who are not physically attracted to others but can still enjoy sex with them);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>skoliosexuality<\/em> (attraction to people with an open sexual identity);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><\/em>sapiosexuality<\/em> (attraction to intelligent people);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>lithosexuality<\/em> (lithosexual people feel attracted to others but don't want that person to feel the same way about them);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><em>anthrosexuality<\/em> (undefined sexuality - the individual feels an attraction to different genders and gender identities).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Translating the different types of sexuality is easy because they are all coined words, consisting of a Greek prefix (<em>pan-, auto-, demi-, hypo-, skolio-, litho-, anthro-<\/em>) and the word sexuality. The word <em>greysexuality<\/em> is a bit more specific. It was coined in 2006 and comes from the word Gray A, i.e., someone who is close to being an asexual but doesn't really feel like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">As well as different types of sexuality, we know other terms in Slovene, such as <em>anorgasmia<\/em> and <em>epididymis<\/em>. The latter is only known in the medical dictionary and has the following meaning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"is a tube that connects a testicle to a vas deferens in the male reproductive system\"<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">However, <em>anorgasmia<\/em> does not exist in our online or the Slovenian medical dictionary. The word denotes the inability to experience orgasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">We can look at the phrase <em>Morning After Pill<\/em> if we are already deep in medical terms. Doctors would technically translate it as an 'emergency contraceptive pill', while the general Slovene population has taken to the term 'morning pill' (<em>jutranja tabletka<\/em>). Unfortunately, the morning-after pill is somewhat misleading, as it can be taken immediately after sexual intercourse up to three days after a possible accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naslednji dve besedi, s katerima se spoznavamo tudi v slovenskem jezikovnem prostoru, sta angle\u0161ki besedi <em>bicurious<\/em> , and <em>bigender<\/em>. Slednja ima ustreznico tudi v sloven\u0161\u010dini &#8211; <em>bispolnost<\/em>, medtem ko je prva nima. Bispolnost pomeni, da ima oseba dve spolni identiteti lo\u010deno, pri tem pa ne gre le za binarno identiteto. Biradovednost (<em>bicurious<\/em>) ali po doma\u010de &#8220;bi pa ne bi&#8221; pomeni, da ima nekdo spolne odnose le z enim spolom, a jih zanima, kako bi bilo z drugim.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In contrast to the above, the next terms are all related to the act of sexual intercourse, we are talking about real juicy words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">When Daisy and John see each other, he feels tectonic shifts in his pants while looking at her body. The English would call it a <em>boner<\/em>, but we would probably call it 'trdonja'. Since they were alone, he grabbed her hips and rubbed against her synthetic dress so hard that sparks literally started to fly. <em>Dry humping<\/em> got them so turned on that their clothes flew off their bodies. Finally, she sat on his face (<em>face sitting<\/em>), and he decided to control her orgasm. The <em>edging<\/em> was more than successful because, despite the intense <em>fingering<\/em>, Daisy wanted more. Forget the missionary position. Daisy's thoughts were far away from em&gt;vanilla sex<\/em> (vanilla extract is the base of all ice creams, it's the most conventional), she grabbed the <em>strap-on<\/em>, but John stopped her and pulled her against his side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The position of their bodies called for em&gt;spooning<\/em>. While John was turning her on all fours, a wind howled from her vagina (<em>queef<\/em>). John did not let himself be distracted. It felt so good that he thought of a <em>creampie<\/em> (ejaculation into the vagina or anus without a condom), but changed his mind and, just before climaxing, turned her on her back and used a protein face mask to keep her skin healthy (<em>facial<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The Slovene language knows some vulgar words that other nations use when describing sexual act. <em>Face sitting, creampie<\/em>, and <em>facial<\/em> could probably be translated descriptively - to sit on someone's face; to ejaculate in the vagina; to splash someone's face. I know we should be more creative in finding equivalents, but that still doesn't mean we would use these new words.
